The Explorer 300 v2 in brief
A rated 4,000 cycles to 70% capacity sets the Explorer 300 v2 apart from its predecessor, the 300 Plus, which is rated for 3,000 cycles to 80%. This one stores 288 Wh and weighs 8.16 lb, giving 35.3 Wh per pound, the second-most among the 14 stations under 300 Wh. AC output is 300 W with a 600 W surge. Solar goes in through a DC8020 port that accepts 16 V to 28 V at up to 6 A, and 100 W at full input fills it in 3.8 h. A 12 V car socket takes 4 h. A refrigerator draws 104 W and runs for 2.7 h to 7 h, and a Starlink Mini lasts 6.1 h to 9.8 h. Warranty is 3 years, plus 2 more if bought from Jackery.
How long the Explorer 300 v2 runs things
Times use about 85% of the rated capacity, the part left after inverter and battery losses. Output tops out at 300 W, so the 875 W furnace blower and 1,050 W sump pump are out; lighter loads such as a 96 W laptop run 2.5 h to 7 h.
Work out your own mix of loads. A red bar means it draws more than the 300 W this station can supply.
How fast it refills
Solar time assumes panels reach 75% of their rating. Figure it for your state and panels.
Solar panels for the Explorer 300 v2
Its DC8020 port takes 16 to 28 V, up to 6 A and 100 W. A panel's voltage rises in the cold, so the marks below show each one at 14 F, and a pass here keeps 10% of headroom under the maximum.
All 2 of its inputs: DC8020 (16 to 28 V, 100 W); USB-C (5 to 20 V, 100 W).

"Inside the window" compares printed numbers. It is not a maker's approval. Jackery's stated position on other brands' panels: It is recommended to use the Jackery solar panel to charge the product. Check any panel or layout, or read how the voltage window works.
Who the Explorer 300 v2 suits
Choose it if you plan to charge from Jackery's own panels. The SolarSaga 200 plugs straight into the DC8020 port, and the SolarSaga 100 Prime works through an Anderson to DC8020 adapter; both are inside the voltage limits, one at a time. The SolarSaga 100 shares the plug but runs close to the 28 V limit when cold, and the 100 Air goes past it. Jackery recommends its own panels, and its approval is separate from this voltage check. It is rated down to 5 F only. The BLUETTI Elite 30 mini works to -4 F and is rated for 6,000 cycles. Someone wanting a 5-year warranty should look at the Anker SOLIX C300.

FAQ
How does the Explorer 300 v2 differ from the 300 Plus?
The 300 v2 is rated for 4,000 cycles to 70% against 3,000 cycles to 80%, and its solar port is DC8020 instead of USB-C. The 300 Plus is no longer sold new by Jackery in its own US store.
Which solar panels fit the Explorer 300 v2?
The SolarSaga 200 plugs straight in and is inside the voltage limits. The SolarSaga 100 Prime is inside them too but needs an adapter.
Can the Explorer 300 v2 charge from a car?
Yes. A 12 V car socket takes 4 h.
Will it run a hair dryer?
No. A hair dryer draws 1,875 W, well above the 300 W output.
