How a power station's solar input voltage window works
A solar input window is the voltage band a port accepts, such as 16 to 60 V on the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. Amp and watt caps sit beside it, and a panel's open-circuit voltage is compared with the upper number.

One brand, two very different windows
Anker prints 11 to 28 V for the solar port on the C300, along with 8.2 A and 100 W. Its C1000 Gen 2 takes 11 to 60 V and 600 W through an XT60i plug, a close relative of the C300's XT60. Anker's C300 manual sums up its port in one sentence: "The solar input supports an 11-28V solar charger with an XT-60 connector."
Two stations from one maker can differ this much. So the solar line in a manual works as a set of limits, not as one number. Volts, amps and watts are each capped, and a panel has to sit inside all three.
What the upper limit is compared with
Jackery tells owners to keep a panel's open-circuit voltage (Voc) and its maximum power current (Imp) inside the port's range. It adds that too much voltage may stop charging or damage the product. EcoFlow words the limit for the DELTA 3 differently. The total Voc of the connected panels must stay within 60 V. The figure that counts is the sum across every panel on the port.
Labels differ by maker. Jackery calls 16 to 60 V a working range in one manual and a Vmp range in another. Read the footnotes under the number before comparing two brands.
Panels print their Voc on the label, which turns the check into a lookup. A panel with a Voc of 22 V sits inside the 16 to 60 V window of the Explorer 1000 v2. A panel labeled 70 V does not. The same 22 V panel would sit just inside the C300's window, with only 6 V to spare.
The lower number is checked against a panel's running voltage (Vmp). That is why the fit checker flags a panel whose Vmp falls short of a station's minimum.
Amp and watt caps sit inside the window
Voltage is only one line of the solar spec. The C1000 Gen 2 manual allows 8.2 A from 11 to 28 V and 14.5 A from 28 to 60 V. Its amp allowance steps up with voltage. The Explorer 1000 v2 splits its limit across two DC8020 ports at 10.5 A each. Together that is 21 A and 400 W. The DELTA 3 lists 15 A and 500 W on one XT60i port.
The watt figure is a ceiling too. A station capped at 400 W cannot take more than that from a bigger array. The C300's 100 W cap means its 288 Wh battery needs about 3 hours of maximum input to fill, before losses. The solar recharge time tool applies these caps for you.

Stations that carry two windows
A few large stations have separate low-voltage and high-voltage inputs. The Explorer 5000 Plus has two DC8020 ports at 16 to 60 V and 21 A. It also has an MC4 input at 135 to 450 V and 15 A. A panel inside one window can be far outside the other. The port it plugs into decides which numbers apply.
To test a panel against a port, use the solar panel fit checker. Then read why cold mornings raise panel voltage before trusting a margin of a few volts.

FAQ
Where do I find my station's solar window?
Look for a line named solar input or PV input in the specifications of the manual. EcoFlow prints the DELTA 3 line as "Solar Input: 11-60V, 15A, 500W Max".
Why do stations of about 1 kWh list different solar limits?
Each maker sets its own caps. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 (1,024 Wh) lists 500 W. The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 (1,070 Wh) lists 400 W. Battery size does not set the solar cap.
What does a total Voc limit mean when I own two panels?
EcoFlow counts the open-circuit voltage of all connected panels together. Panels in series add their volts. The series and parallel guide shows the arithmetic.
