Solar panel fit checker
Pick a station and a panel. The check compares the panel's cold-morning voltage with the station's printed limits.
FAQ
Why does the check use a cold temperature?
A panel's voltage rises as it gets colder. The label is measured at 77 F, so a panel can go past a station's limit on a cold bright morning even though the label looks fine.
What if the panel has no printed temperature figure?
The check assumes minus 0.3% per degree C, a common figure for crystalline silicon panels, and says so in the result.
Does inside the window mean the maker approves it?
No. It means the printed numbers line up. Some makers limit warranty on other brands' panels, so read the maker's terms too.
