BLUETTI AC2A

204.8 Wh and 300 W of AC, on an LFP battery. It has the third-highest solar input of the 14 stations in the under 300 Wh class.

The AC2A in brief

Third-highest solar input among the 14 stations under 300 Wh: 200 W goes into a 204.8 Wh battery, refilling it in 1.4 h at full input. The ceiling is 28 V, and BLUETTI says not to use solar panels with open-circuit voltage higher than that. Beyond solar, the AC2A is a 7.9 lb station with a 300 W AC output and a 600 W surge rating. It runs a laptop at 96 W for 1.8 h to 5 h, a Starlink Mini for 4.4 h to 7 h and a Wi-Fi router for 3.9 h to 20 h. The wall charge is 270 W and takes 1.2 h. The battery is LFP rated for 3,000 cycles to 80 percent, with a 5-year warranty.

How long the AC2A runs things

Times use about 85% of the rated capacity, the part left after inverter and battery losses. Nothing above 300 W runs. The chest freezer's 192 W draw fits, but its 1,200 W start is above the 600 W surge rating, and the 1,500 W coffee maker starts but cannot keep running.

Work out your own mix of loads. A red bar means it draws more than the 300 W this station can supply.

Solar panels for the AC2A

Its XT60 port takes 12 to 28 V, up to 8.2 A and 200 W. A panel's voltage rises in the cold, so the marks below show each one at 14 F, and a pass here keeps 10% of headroom under the maximum.

Who the AC2A suits

Pick it for phones, a laptop, a router or a Starlink Mini when low weight and a 5-year warranty matter, plus fast solar refills. The BLUETTI EB3A suits you better if you need 600 W of AC, at 268.8 Wh and 10.14 lb, though its warranty is 2 years. The EcoFlow RIVER 2 weighs 7.7 lb and wall-charges at 360 W in 1 h, but its solar input is only 110 W against 200 W here.

FAQ

Which solar panels can go into the BLUETTI AC2A?

BLUETTI warns against panels with open-circuit voltage above 28 V. In the check at 14 F, the Jackery SolarSaga 200 at 22 V stays inside, one panel, with a DC8020 to XT60 adapter. BLUETTI's own PV200, PV350 and SORA 500 come out outside.

Can the AC2A run a refrigerator?

A refrigerator draws 104 W while running, which fits for 1.9 h to 5 h. Its 1,305 W startup draw is above the 600 W surge rating, so startup is not covered.

Can the AC2A run a coffee maker?

No. The 1,500 W running draw is well above the 300 W output, although the coffee maker's 600 W startup is covered.

How long does the AC2A take to recharge?

From the wall, 270 W takes 1.2 h. On solar, 1.4 h is the figure at the full 200 W input.
