The AC50B in brief
BLUETTI says not to use solar panels with open-circuit voltage above 28 V on the AC50B, and that sets the shopping list. The input takes 12 V to 28 V at up to 8.5 A, for 200 W through an XT60 port. In the check at 14 F, none of the BLUETTI panels checked stays inside, while the Jackery SolarSaga 200 does. Behind the port sits 448 Wh in 16.53 lb with a 700 W AC output, the highest of the 4 stations in the 300 to 700 Wh class. It runs a laptop for 4 h to 11 h, a Starlink Mini for 9.5 h to 15 h and a router for 8.5 h to 44 h. Wall charging at 580 W takes 1.2 h, and solar takes 3 h at full input.
How long the AC50B runs things
Times use about 85% of the rated capacity, the part left after inverter and battery losses. Past 700 W nothing runs: the 1,050 W sump pump gets 22 min to 29 min on paper, but running power is listed as not supported. The refrigerator's 104 W runs for 4.1 h to 11 h, though its 1,305 W start is not covered.
Work out your own mix of loads. A red bar means it draws more than the 700 W this station can supply.
How fast it refills
Solar time assumes panels reach 75% of their rating. Figure it for your state and panels.
Solar panels for the AC50B
Its XT60 port takes 12 to 28 V, up to 8.5 A and 200 W. A panel's voltage rises in the cold, so the marks below show each one at 14 F, and a pass here keeps 10% of headroom under the maximum.

Who the AC50B suits
Look at its sibling first. The BLUETTI AC50P holds 504 Wh in 15.12 lb with the same 700 W output and a 5-year warranty, and wall charges at 600 W. The EcoFlow RIVER 2 Max weighs 13.4 lb and wall charges at 660 W in 1 h, but it is 500 W of AC and works from 14 F to 113 F. The Jackery Explorer 600 v2 stores 640 Wh with a 6,000-cycle battery, also at 500 W.

FAQ
How does the BLUETTI AC50B compare with the AC50P?
Both list 700 W of AC and a 5-year warranty. The AC50P holds 504 Wh in 15.12 lb, against 448 Wh in 16.53 lb here, and it wall charges at 600 W against 580 W.
Which solar panels does the AC50B accept?
The input window is 12 V to 28 V. The Jackery SolarSaga 200 at 22 V open-circuit stays inside, one panel, with a DC8020 to XT60 adapter. BLUETTI's PV200 at 24.6 V runs close to that 28 V limit in the 14 F check, and its higher-voltage panels go past it.
Can the AC50B run a microwave or a space heater?
No. A 1,500 W microwave and a 1,575 W space heater are both above the 700 W output.
How long does the AC50B take to recharge?
From the wall, 580 W takes 1.2 h. On solar, 3 h is the figure at the full 200 W input.
