The EB70S in brief

Wall charging at 200 W is the EB70S's slow point: a full refill from an outlet takes 4 h, and solar at its 200 W maximum takes 4.8 h. The rest of the specification is lighter than its size suggests. At 21.4 lb it is the second-lightest of the 25 stations in the 700 to 1,500 Wh class, with 716 Wh and an 800 W AC output. A refrigerator lasts 6.6 h to 17 h, a window air conditioner at 730 W lasts 50 min to 1.4 h, and a Wi-Fi router runs 14 h to 70 h. BLUETTI no longer sells the EB70S new in its own US store, and the newer model is the AC70.

How long the EB70S runs things

Times use about 85% of the rated capacity, the part left after inverter and battery losses. The refrigerator's 1,305 W start sits under the 1,400 W surge rating, so it runs. Anything past 800 W of running power, such as the 1,500 W microwave or the 875 W furnace blower, does not.

Solar panels for the EB70S

Its DC7909 port takes 12 to 28 V, up to 8 A and 200 W. A panel's voltage rises in the cold, so the marks below show each one at 14 F, and a pass here keeps 10% of headroom under the maximum.

Who the EB70S suits

Pick it if low weight matters and your loads stay under 800 W, such as a refrigerator, laptop or router. The BLUETTI AC70 is the stronger buy. It gives 768 Wh, 1,000 W of AC, 850 W wall charging in 1.3 h, 500 W of solar up to 58 V, expansion support and a 5-year warranty, at 22.5 lb. For less weight than the EB70S, the EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro is 18.2 lb with the same 800 W output and a 940 W wall charge.

FAQ

Is the BLUETTI EB70S still sold?

BLUETTI no longer sells the EB70S new in its own US store. The AC70 is the newer model, with 768 Wh and 1,000 W of AC output.

Can the EB70S run a refrigerator?

Yes, for 6.6 h to 17 h. The refrigerator draws 104 W while running, and its 1,305 W startup is under the 1,400 W surge rating.

Which solar panels work with the EB70S?

The input window is 12 V to 28 V at up to 8 A. In the check at 14 F, only the Jackery SolarSaga 200 at 22 V open-circuit stays inside, one panel, with a DC8020 to DC7909 adapter. BLUETTI's PV200, PV350 and SORA 500 come out outside.

How long does the EB70S take to recharge?

Wall charging is 200 W, which takes 4 h. Solar at the full 200 W takes 4.8 h.
