Model names decoded: v2, Plus, Gen 2, Max and Ultra
Suffixes do not mean the same thing across brands. Anker's F3800 Plus takes up to 165 V of solar against 60 V on the F3800. Jackery's Explorer 1000 v2 gives up the expansion the Explorer 1000 Plus has. Compare the figures, not the suffix.

A number that follows capacity
Jackery says the number in an Explorer name sits close to the capacity in watt-hours. It says v2, Plus, Pro and Ultra mark different versions. The numbers bear that out. The Explorer 1000 v2 holds 1,070 Wh, the Explorer 2000 v2 holds 2,042 Wh and the Explorer 1500 v2 holds 1,536 Wh. Anker follows a similar habit, with the F3800 at 3,840 Wh and the C1000 at 1,056 Wh.
Other lines break the pattern. Bluetti's AC180 holds 1,152 Wh and outputs 1,800 W, so its 180 matches neither figure. EcoFlow's DELTA names mostly carry no capacity, and the number after DELTA marks a generation.
What a suffix changed in four pairs
Four pairs that differ by one suffix show how little a suffix says on its own.
Anker lists the F3800 only as a refurbished unit, so the Plus is the version it sells new. Jackery's v2 is the lighter and less expandable version of its 1,000 Wh class. Jackery's Plus on that class is the larger, expandable one. The Explorer 1000 Plus reaches 5,058.56 Wh with three packs, and the v2 has no expansion port at all.
| Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus to Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,264.64 Wh to 1,070 Wh, 2,000 W to 1,500 W, 32 lb to 23.8 lb, expansion to none |
|---|---|
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 to DELTA 3 Plus | one 500 W solar port to two, for 1,000 W in all; capacity and AC output unchanged |
| Anker F3800 to F3800 Plus | solar window 11 to 60 V at 1,200 W per input to 11 to 165 V at 1,600 W; same 3,840 Wh |
| Bluetti AC180 to AC180P | 1,152 Wh to 1,440 Wh; same 1,800 W AC output |
One word, four meanings
Plus means a second solar port on the DELTA 3 Plus. On the F3800 Plus it means a wider voltage window, and on a Jackery Explorer it means expansion. The P on the Bluetti AC180P means a larger battery. EcoFlow's launch statement says the Plus versions of the DELTA 3 Max and Ultra offer smarter power output. It adds a wider range of charging options. That fits the extra solar ports in the specs.
Max shows the same drift. EcoFlow's DELTA 3 Max doubles the DELTA 3's 1,024 Wh to 2,048 Wh. It moves AC output from 1,800 W to 2,400 W. Gen 2 on Anker's C1000 brings a switch from XT60 to XT60i and 2,000 W against 1,800 W. Weight drops from 28.44 lb to 24.9 lb, but the expansion that the C1000 had is gone.
Mini, Classic and Ultra
Small words carry big differences too. Bluetti's Elite 30 V2 and Elite 30 Mini both hold 288 Wh. The V2 outputs 600 W at 9.48 lb, and the Mini outputs 300 W at 7.28 lb. EcoFlow's DELTA 3 Classic keeps the DELTA 3's 1,024 Wh and 1,800 W but drops expansion. It weighs 26.6 lb against 27.6 lb.
Ultra is the least consistent. EcoFlow's DELTA Pro Ultra splits an inverter at 70.8 lb and 7,200 W from a separate 6,144 Wh battery pack at 111.3 lb. Jackery's Explorer 1500 Ultra is a single 38.6 lb unit.
Using the names
A name tells you the product line and sometimes the generation. It does not tell you the solar window, the number of battery packs or the plug. Use the station comparison to set two models side by side. Check the expansion battery rules by brand before buying a pack.

FAQ
Does v2 always mean newer and better?
It means newer on a line, but the figures vary. The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 has less capacity, less AC output and no expansion compared with the Explorer 1000 Plus. It also weighs 8.2 lb less.
What does Plus change on an EcoFlow DELTA 3?
The solar side. The DELTA 3 Plus has two 500 W XT60i ports where the DELTA 3 has one. Both list 1,024 Wh and 1,800 W.
Do Max and Ultra mean the same thing on every brand?
No. EcoFlow's DELTA 3 Max is a 2,048 Wh station. Jackery's Explorer 1500 Ultra is a 1,536 Wh station with 800 W of solar input, against 400 W on the 1500 v2.
